Maxx-Air Fan Lid Won’t Open Anymore?
The problem is the little gearbox. It’s about the size of a lighter, a little box that connects the motor to the lid. Our 2015 3800 has 3 of these fabs in the roof. I’ve already replaced the gearbox in the main area fan, and now the one in the garage is bad.
They literally break into pieces. Fortunately, the part is only about $10 and you can do the transplant yourself in about ten minutes with minimal tools. I will post the part next. I recommend getting two.. you’ll probably need them!
