Maiden Voyage

Just got back from a successful maiden voyage with the 3600. Little bit of a learning curve over my previous 5th wheel as far as where to put things, where are things, where did she put things (lol)

The Level up went without incident other than the trailer was sitting slightly nose high. Before breaking camp this morning, I did a manual level and re-zeroed the system.

Had friends over and we sat out on the patio ramp. What a nice feature.

Had a slight trickle of water in the shower. Took the faucet apart and found the cold line plugged with debris. Cleaned it out and all was fine. I had already cleaned the crud out of the faucet screens last week. Guess the water lines aren't blown out at the factory so it's up to us.

Got a rude wake-up call when the smoke detector sounded as the furnace fired up for the first time and blew some junk out of the vents.

The Michelin Ribs performed flawlessly.

I was, overall, very pleased with the Voltage this weekend. It's an awesome rig.

Great to hear you had a good first outing. Are you sure it was the smoke detector and not the CO detector? My furnace sets off my CO detector. I suspected it was faulty so I purchased one of those plug in detectors that display carbon monoxide in ppm and it registered zero even as the ceiling detector was going off.

Aren't CO2 detectors mounted near the floor and smoke detectors near the ceiling? Mine was ceiling mounted.

When firing our furnace for first time during walk thru it smelled like the coach was on fire. Service Manager claimed it was normal during first start up. It took abour 2-3 hours to "burn off" and had to remove smoke detector battry . Never smelled it again. Glad you had a great first outing!

In my 5er, there are smoke and CO detectors on the ceiling, and a gas (propane) near the floor to detect leaks in the gas lines. I'm thinking I have the CO detector because of the generator.
