The vacuum bonded walls in our campers are actually structural members on their own. It's not like traditional stick built construction. I'll post a photo of the whole saw cross section I have from mine.

Those are great shots. Not much framing to these things is there?
I miss having access to the IR camera from work. FLIR has a smart phone true IR device now that keeps tugging at my wallet though...

But that reminds me, I've got an IR filter from an old Sony camcorder. I'll have to give it a try.

Hahaha Yes, I rationalize by telling myself that I don't golf, bowl, or drink (much) so gadgets are my one vice. Well,,, one of them anyway... I used to have loads of fun with the IR camera from work though. It's amazing what you can detect with them. I mainly used it to inspect substations, motor control centers, and steam traps, but there are many more uses for it. See,,,, I really need one

Nice! Do you work on grid distribution stuff? My work was on industrial subs & feeders, maintenance.
Sorry for jumping the thread track though...

HV and EHV substations for utilities and wind farms. Not ever day you meet someone doing hotspot detection in stations.

IR Cameras, Non-Contact Infrared thermometers, moisture meters, bore scopes and the list of toys goes on. I don't own an IR camera... but work does.

No hi tech equipment needed...
You can get a detailed outline of the structural framing,
in the condensation pattern on a frosty morning.
However, those frosty mornings are few and far between in West Texas!!!

Agreed but it doesn't need to be frosty. Any damp morning will do.
