I have 2 gauges for gray tank, do I have 2?

I have a 2017 300 TQ Coleman Toy hauler. On the panel, it shows that I have 2 gray tanks and 1 black. 42 gallons each. When I crawled under there I could only find 1 black and 1 gray, fresh water being under the foam covering. Why would I have indicators for gray 1 and gray 2?

In the name of cost savings, they use the same panel for a multitude of models, regardless of whether they have two tanks or not.

ok

Ok, thanks for the info. Seems kind of cheesy to do it that way. You think they could have at least hooked by gauges to the sensors so that you get an accurate reading from both of them.

You think that's cheesy, wait until you look at how the wiring is done. LOL/

LOL, or be thankful that the gauge actually works.

I recommend you do not look at the wiring or plumbing as both are a mess in our trailer. Under the sink is the cold water line with a "T" connection in it that connects to a valve. The output of the valve is a wide open section of PEX under the cabinet inside the trailer. If that valve ever leaked I would have pressurized water spraying everywhere inside the trailer. The wiring looks like a bowl of spaghetti and just thrown in place. I'm a freaky neat nut when it comes to wiring and plumbing so I have organized the wiring as best I can and labeled the wires. I also removed the "T" connection and spliced in a straight connector to eliminate the chance of a water leak. I'm also waiting for replacement cabinet and drawer handles to come because the threads in the handles were stripped, not the screw, which resulted in their pulling loose every time we opened the cabinet or drawer. Love our floor plan but the workmanship is pathetic.

If both sensors were hooked to the same tank, considering the cheap sensors they use, you would wonder which was accurate.

Same here, my gauges show 2 of each tanks but only have one each.
I had to fix a small leak at the kitchen sink this weekend and you all are not kidding about the wiring and plumbing!

I have the same problem but the underside is enclosed/insulated so I could not see if they were two tanks. Salesman said two, but no only one grey tank. All they would have to do is put a blank plug in the panel so you would know you have only one!
I agree with the wiring, haphazard everywhere! The guy with the rotosaw who cut holes in the panels for pipe and wiring looks to be a maniac, no nice hole, or correct size, I can put my arm thru a hole for 6 wires, ridiculous at beat!
My Santi-flush check valve was installed backwards also!
We get the spiel, quality control inspection before it leaves the factory, I do believe they are blind, or really don’t give a crap, the latter I would guess! PDI at the dealer, sure! I worked for a truck dealership and did PDI’s (pre delivery inspections). If somethings like what we are seeing were identified after the sale, you can bet your time would be docked!

Our Denali 289RK was from all appearances a very nice trailer, warm and inviting. But, as for the wiring, plumbing, and other less than standard construction, the emporer had no clothes. The worst part was, Denali did not seem to care.

Easy fix

The fix is easy. I put a small piece of black electrical tap over the offending labels.

I understand that there are actually two grey tanks but no overflow connections -- which does not make sense -- in between until it reaches into a single waste dump gate.

My grey tank from the kitchen sink overflowed twice and suggestions here is to buy a twist-on valve and open up the grey tank valve to the waste water to equalize.

It's out-of-stock and would try to this solution anyways.

And yes, the Grey 1 tank accurately indicate it is full and the other at 1/4 level intuitively reflecting our proportionate use.

My Aerolite has two grey tanks. I wondered at first too, but the clincher is there are two sewer dump locations. One for black and the bathroom grey tank and a second one for the galley grey tank. Nice to have 67 gallons of grey water capacity, but there is that extra dip under the trailer to reconnect my sewer hose to the second dump location every time I dump the tanks.
