Happy 4th of July...

Not the most picturesque campsite I've ever had... but this is my setup in Casper, WY for the July 4th weekend.

Now let's see your photos for the 4th...

Ok, well, I guess I'm the only one out this weekend... or at least, the only one with a camera.

I am on a staycation.

I was out piddling about in the camper earlier today, working on building a platform for the dog to ride on between the seats. Got the frame built, then some storms came up so the plywood skin will have to wait a bit.

Happy 4th to everyone.

I camped in the driveway for the 4th. I thought it would be a good time to get up close and personal with the truck. The front end was starting to get a little sloopy, so it's new ball joints and front axle u-joints. Got it done now a wheel alignment and we'll be ready for another little excursion.

Technically, not a 4th of July campout. Rather, a temporarily permanent spot while I wait out the summer heat.

Will build a canopy over the little RV to keep it nice, but the real plan is to build a tiny-house (12' x 24') and then redeploy the RV as an RV.

Got the thing so sorted though that I'm hardly sacrificing any comforts of life.

By the way, fireworks are popping all around. So it IS a 4th of July evening.
