Generator question

I have a 4000 propane Onan generator in an Avion I don't use any more. I purchased a used 2003 35' Dutchman toy hauler.

It has no generator and I was going to purchase a small portable one. However, I was wondering if anyone has put that large a generator in their 2003 unit, how they did it and what it takes to hook it up to the electrical system, or should I stay with a portable one?

Looking back I would have Gotten our voltage Generator ready but without generator ready but without the generator I would’ve gone Honda or predictor (these are very quite)and ran them in parallel if your trailer is generator ready meaning from fuel tank to wiring I had a friend who also did that and installed an onan that he had sitting around and worked out for him. After some second measurements, I decided the Onan would be to big. Going to buy a portable.
