Generator gas fill

Which tank in the fuel station is for the generator?

You don’t say what model/make rig you have... but on a Voltage, it should be the rear tank.

Reply to question

3200. So you're saying that as you are standing in front of the station the tank on the right is for the generator correct?

Thanks for getting back to me.

On our 3990 it’s the opposite! Lol. Guess it really depends on what day of the week they installed the tanks and if the tech was left or right handed.....

I've called Dutchman about which tank heater switch goes to which tank and they had absolutely no idea so your tank being opposite mine is no surprise. I don't call then anymore. The good people in this forum know more than they do.

That's funny. My 3990 (2015) is the rear.

I have a 3200 and the rear tank is for the generator. I tend to keep that tank kinda low when I don't plan on using the generator much and put most of the fuel in the auxiliary tank. When I need more for the generator I just pump it in. If I don't use all the gas I can pump it out of the tank and put it in the wife's car. This way the gas never gets too old.

Pretty clever, Mr Mohon. Bad gas is never a good thing. A question? Do you ever see rust or crud coming from fuel pump hose? Just wondering about rust in those tanks.

If you're willing to crawl under under the Driver side of the trailer you will be able to find the fuel hose that goes forward to the Generator. The other one is the Toy Tank.

On my 2014 Voltage Epic 3800...the front tank is the Toy Tank and the rear tank is the Generator tank.
