Gas tanks - Which filler is for which tank?

Hi,

I'm have a quick question that the manual doesn't explain. On my 3905 I have to gas tanks, 1 for the generator and 1 for the fuel transfer station. My question is which filler is for which tank? Any help would be great, we are on our way to the Black Hills and I'd like to get the fuel transfer tank full before I get there instead of relying on finding gas stations along the trail.

Eric

Isn't the fuel gauge in the outside compartment for the toy/transfer tank? I don't remember which tank is which but if I needed to know I'd fill one and see which gauge shows full. I think the forward tank is the generator tank but I wouldn't bank on it.

My control panel has an LED that shows level status and GEN but which tank is which is unknown to me.

If all else fails fill 'em both and watch the gauge.

I think there are two fuel gauges behind the plastic door by the tank fillers. Also the gauges are labeled so if the gauge on the left says gen then the left filler is for the generator.

If you have a rig that has what you say then you know and you don't have to think.

Maybe the 2014 has them, mine's a 2013 and I have one gauge and one LED array for my fuel status.

2013 3905 here. I asked the dealer on the PDI walk around, and then marked the rear gas cap with the word 'generator'. Forward cap is the fuel station.

2014 Voltage 3895 - same as several previous
rear fill / rear tank is for genset
front fill / front tank is for fuel station.
inside LED gauge for genset fuel
out side dial gauge for fuel station tank

I do really like the idea of two outside gauges for fuel so you can see what your doign while you do it.
Next best would be second inside gauge for fuel station tank...

Maybe something you can special order....

Maybe a winter time project....

According to the 2013 V3200 wiring diagram I received from Dutchman, it shows the rear tank as the generator tank with the front tank being the pump station.
