Full Timing in a 3895 since June (working too, but about to retire). We use the garage as laundry, dining, and computer room...

Been in ours since 01NOV14. Had four of us in ours until last month. The family moved back to FL in prep for my retirement in 883 days. By that time, I will have been in mine for nearly five years.

Love it when the countdown becomes numerically exact.
Got a workmate that has "an app for that"
He looks at it often. Quotes it to the second.

Me? 1515

I too jumped the gun though and went full-time. Love the small footprint lifestyle. Not quite a Voltage Castle though.

I have only been full time in my 3970 6 months. If we hadn't done a couple shakedown trips to catch all the issues, we would have been in a hotel for weeks. Instead was "homeless" for a few nights so far.

It's doing well...we put nearly 12k miles on the trailer the first year, this past year I have been traveling quite a bit for work, so it has sat in a single spot mostly. We missed a trip to Disney last Christmas, but will do it next summer.

Only major problem I have had was my main slide gears stripped. It still worked, but was awful sounding. They replaced the whole mechanism, both sides. Also had the hitch replaced while it was in for the slide repair.

I need to pack the bearings and adjust breaks. I have everything, but not in a hurry since I am in place for the winter.

Spent last winter in Southern Maryland and stayed quite comfortable (couple feet of snow here and there). I do have a 500lb propane tank that I made a manifold for so I can disconnect and leave when I desire. It is filled on request during the winter. This winter I am going to have the Amish make a nice skirt all the way around, including storage under the pin.

Since the family has moved out, I have been doing fixes here and there of items that were in need of repair from four people using the trailer daily. I do have a pesky leak in my main slide, I am perplexed on why it is getting wet in the far corner. The slide looks like a three year old has done arts and crafts, as I have caulked and used eternabond in my hunt to fix it. If it is still leaking after tonight, I will throw in the towel and have someone come look at it.

I am a flyer in a non flying billet right now. Boss lady said it was time to call it quits as my oldest will be starting high school in less than two years and I have missed a tremendous amount of both kids childhoods.

I wrote an Excel spreadsheet to track the max leave I can carry to the end and have the max time off with pay. My retirement date is in June 2019, but I have planned to hoard my time off and take 102 days of paid leave.

My program manager asks for a count update at our Monday staff meetings, have to make sure my stuff is squared away.

Sounds like a plan!

Mine is November 2020.

So why is my countdown 1515 days if it's just a year+ farther out? You just counting work days?

Nope, counting every day. Your November 2020 is nearly two years after my Feb 2019 (last work day).

So far so good, only 6 months in. I just hope the ol Dutchman holds together. Another round of warranty work Monday... Luckily this dealer doesn't care if I sleep in it at night while they work.

I will say that it is a labor of love with these things. Not just Dutchman, but all brands. When we were constantly on the road, I would always spend the first day after a stop fixing odds and ends that were "broken" from hours of earthquake style forces the day before. She is doing well, not sure it will last until antique status, but should last until we can finally afford our Class A diesel pusher (post kids of course).

Another nice to have is a washer and dryer. I tapped into plumbing and ran a propane line to the garage and use a full size set washer/gas dryer by Kenmore.

Damn, interesting idea! We actually have one of those Kenmore propane sets in storage currently. That doesn't work for our floorplan, but nice work!
