Front Cap

I have a 2014 Rubicon 2900, that was bought in July 2013. We had used 2 times before we installed the cover on it last October. When I uncovered it we noticed a horizontal crack across the front above the Rubicon logo. Has anyone had this problem?

I have not had that happen to me yet. I'm curious what the experts will have to say about this. Mine has delaminated in a few places but not due to water damage. You cap may be like mine and is fiberglass. I bet you can repair it but not sure how to make it look nice and not repaired. I have watched youtube vids on fiberglass work but never done it. I hope you get some good answers on this. Oh they may ask for pics of the crack if you can post them you might get some answers.

At this time I am working with the manager of the dealership I bought it from, he has the same assumption I have that this is a factory defect. I have it at another dealership at this time and was informed yesterday that the manufacture is saying it is not a defect. The manager of where I purchased it is now dealing with the manufacture to see if we can get them to take care of this matter. I'm can't believe the manufacture will not correct this, even though it is 24 months old. I could understand if it was 5 years or older. Hopefully, they will admit that it is their fault. Not happy with buying a almost $40,000 trailer and this happening so soon after purchase.
