Fresh Water Tank, unsolved mysteries, 1 down, 1 to go

In another post, I describe how we discovered access to the rest of our enormous 160 gallon fresh water capacity, by clearing the vent tube. Not being able to fill the tanks was an issue for boondocking. It’s great to have solved that!

The pump, however, is still not stopping. I’ve bled all the lines repeatedly, and checked the pump inlet filter, and there’s no leaks either. The pump is working, with good pressure everywhere. Any idea what could be preventing the pump from stopping?

You likely have a leak somewhere else in the rig that you have not yet discovered. If the pump is running, it is because the water pressure has dropped. The only way water pressure drops is when a faucet is open or there is a leak. It's in there somewhere. Sorry to say it's either the pump leaking or a leak somewhere as of yet undiscovered.

Is there a “check valve” somewhere?

I mentioned filling your hot water tank in your other thread. I just thought of black tank rinse as well, could you have one of those in the on position?

Thanks Warner! All valves in right position, hot tank full...and no leaks anywhere I can see... but now I’m seeing some slow dripping from the pump itself after leaving it on for awhile, so I’m just going to assume it’s bad, and replace it..again.

My water pump would spray remarkably when on. And it would spray from the (cheap plastic) clear filter cap. It really didn't leak when it wasn't running.Only under pressure when pulling water up from the fresh water tank.
