Control panel .. fresh / grey water buttons

When I fill my fresh water tank the light's on control panel in my v3200 TH show it's empty ? I have two grey water buttons on the control panel and one shows empty the other shows full .. I think I only have one tank ? The battery's show full and the Generator fuel shows 1/3 which is right. Anyone else have problems with the control panel giving a wrong reading or know how to fix it ?

The light-based gages have always been notoriously inaccurate on almost all makes and models. My fresh water tank would only show 2/3 full even when filled to the point that water was coming out of the vent. I took it in for the warranty repairs last fall and when I picked it up, they showed me that it was working correctly. Got it out for the first camping trip of the year last weekend and now always shows empty. I bought a cheapo little inline water meter and that way I know for sure how much water I have put into my tank when filling. Gave up on gages on the Voltage just as I did on every other camper I have ever had...

You have 2 grey water tanks on the 3200. One tank is for the bathroom... the other is for the kitchen sink & the washer-dryer drain the garage. The dump lever for the kitchen-garage tank is located under the rig... either just forward of the wheels, or between the wheels.

Don .. tks for the info, would you be able to tell me more ref. the inline water meter and where you were able to install it ?

ATCguy .. again, tks for the info, on the left side just behind the axle there is a 2" drain but I thought it was for fresh water ? Is the drain the same as the sewer drain or smaller ? I do have 3 hoses hanging down ( two blue and one red ? ) ..

The "2 blue and one red" are your low-point drains.

Your kitchen grey water tank dump handle should face outbound towards the street. And, yes, your fresh water tank dump is back there behind the rear wheels too... but you pull it towards the REAR of the rig.

It's too dark for me to take photos now... but I'll try to snap a couple of shots & post them in the morning.

Oh, and here's a diagram of your waste-water plumbing:

Tom, thanks very much for attaching the schematic on the drainage system. In due time we all will need to reference it for whatever reason.

Appreciate it!

Ok, as promised... photos:

This is where your Kitchen & Garage Grey Tank Valve should be located on the 3200... just forward of the wheels under the slide out. Since I have a washer/dryer unit in my rig, and it fills the tank pretty quickly... if I'm staying more than 3 days someplace I usually leave this valve always open.

Your Fresh Water Tank Valve is also located near the rear tires... but "behind" them towards the center of the rig. The Valve Handle is WHITE, and pulls towards the REAR of the rig. Mine is shown in the open position, as I'm currently airing out the tank.

Hopefully those help...

Tom .. Tks so much ! I'll be looking for that black valve as soon as I get home. Begs the question, why only put two valve controls in the exterior control panel and then hide two more ??

Cheers
Dave

I wish I knew. Convenience for them, I'd guess... since it would require a lot of cable running from the panel to those 2 valves. That's why our rigs don't cost a quarter-mil.

Question, do all the holding tanks have the same size outlet off the tank? I ask, because my kitchen grey looks like a 2 inch pipe, but if they are all the larger size (3 or 4 inch) openings, they could all be replaced with electric waste valves....mount all in the wet bay then...

All the RV's I've owned have the gray water at 2" & blacks at 3 or 4"

Tom .. I guess no two 3200's are the same .. found the 3rd drain lever, at the rear almost at the fuel station. It sure dosen't jump out at you, hidden up in the under belly.

Tks again for your assistance .. much appreciated.
