Yep, I have had the same issue. Not uncommon at all.
I actually had a front hanger break a few miles from the house when I was on the freeway. The tires were rubbing together and ruined almost two brand new Sailun tires. Went to go camping after the winter and found a broken leaf spring. We then replaced everything under the trailer. I now keep spare parts on the trailer to help save a trip with less down time if it happens again on the road. I have spare hangers and a spare leaf spring just incase. I figure, if I'm on the road and break a hanger or leaf spring again, as long as I have a replacement, I can save a trip. I might have to find a mobile welder or I might have to go buy a welder and do it my myself but I won't be waiting on a part to ship that could be weeks out. The cost of spare parts is minimal when you factor in what it could cost sitting in a RV park for serval weeks waiting on a part to ship. I have learned from my experiences.
So my latest upgrade was new Dexter equalizers and shackles.
The shackles are probably 3 times as thick and the bolts are wet. I was a little nervous as I have heard some wet bolts fail but my trailer guy assured me they were up to the task.
No more worries about the shackles breaking.
The weak point now is likely the brackets that are welded to the frame. So far they look good though.
