Backup Lights on Voltage

Has anyone installed backup lights to their voltage. I thought it would be a good idea to wire it into the flood lights on the rear of the trailer but don't know if the wire runs to the back of the trailer or not. Anyone ever do this?

I use the work lights over the ramp door for back up lights. I can still control them with the switch inside too. The relay isolates the systems in case you are hooked up to the tow vehicle and turn on the lights with the switch inside. The yellow wire for the back up lights is in the J-box where the truck cord/plug is. Fishing the wire from there to inside the storage compartment was fun but doable. works well.

Love the side lighting, been kicking around ideas for something similar mainly for backing into the driveway at night. Very nice!!

I also hooked up the rear work lights to the YELLOW wire in the trailer harness so I can use them as back-up lights while hooked to the truck, or as work lights when disconnected.

I ran the wire to the switch/control panel just inside the door from the junction box on the back of the pin box. I just used a diode to prevent any back feeding to the truck. I also installed LED bulbs so it didnt pull as much juice and was brighter
