Audio Interference

Got a weird one! We have the TV plugged into the front auxiliary on the Jensen JWM92 and it is getting a ton of static. When the furnace kicks on, the static disappears. Any thoughts on how to fix this when the furnace is not on lol? Everything is brand new.

I did hunt a bit for a bad ground, I'll do some deeper digging, thanks!

This is a dumb question, but did you try a different aux cord? I would also try a different source, your tv might be the cause. Then I would try a different speaker, that way you can rule out the tv and/ or the stereo.

I've tried a different cord and some other ideas too, it's just wonky, who knows. Definitely not the end of the world, I'm still happy and camping

It is either a bad ground or a bad shield on a cable.
Can be any cable the tv had connected to it. Or anywhere along that signal path.

I've seen this on antenna amplifiers, stereos, tvs and production equipment when we were filming. Usually due to a non pro piece of gear someone had brought into play. Good luck.

BTW, adding the heater motor to the mix is interesting. Not usual. Look at the 12 volt line running the heater blower.

Try pulling fuses on the 12 volt side then on the 110 side breakers.

Good luck... This stuff is a bear to find. Just don't shotgun it. One thing at a time. Write down what you've done to keep you honest!

I get it, fought my water heater. But your right, any day camping is better than any day in the real world.
