I'm sure the 17.5's are better but my tires (Maxxis M8008 ST235/80/16) are rated for 3,400lbs and according to the scale I have only about 2,200lbs on each. Is the bigger tire just a completly different animal? More robust? I hope the new one's I bought hold up but only time will tell.

With only 2200 lbs per tire I wouldn't think you should have problem with any tires.

So I called Michael at the shop recommended and tires and rims are on the way. I guess my next question is what is the best way to jack the trailer and change the tires. I plan on doing it myself.

I did my own - I have a 12 ton bottle jack from Tractor Supply that stays with the camper that I used. I bought it after my first flat on my Sunnybrook to make life easier should it ever happen again with camper loaded. I just did one at a time with the jack and used my compressor and impact gun to remove the old ones - torque the new ones to 100 pound-feet and check after first trip and periodically after that. Took me about an hour to do all six.

I run my trailer up the leveling blocks, the boss yells when the tire on the second axle is of the gound. Makes tire changing quick and easy, especially when your at the side of the road changing a flat.

Just a FYI if you have the 6 point level up system you can manually lift the whole coach off the ground to change the tires no jacks needed

These pictures are of my old 53' Weekend Warrior that I just sold

Dealer lifted mine like that during PDI - LCI says not to, so I will leave it be while still under warranty and use the jack that only cost me $40...

I bought (2) new Hankook tires from eBay & the other ones were used Michelins I got also from eBay. Hankooks are 75 mph rated & I have used 16,17 & 22.5" of these at work with no problem. Had them also on my 06 F-350 with NO problem.

Wow LCI installed my system and never said not to do that to it. The pictures where taken at the install location after they finished the installation. They tested the system and had all eight of the wheels off the ground for eight hours with no problems. When I check every thing I only lift one side at a time off the ground just to be safe.

That is a massive RV. I google it and it is unbelievably big. Please post some more photos of it, inside and out and describe what it was like towing it.

No problem towing it! I kind of miss it! I have a 2014 Ford F450 4x4 so it pulled it with no problem. I miss the 20' gauge with 1/2 bath in it. I'm on the fence now I was going to order a 2015 3990 but I don't know if every thing will fit in a 12' gauge the 1000xp 4 is just over 12'. I called Voltage they said not sure if they are going to be building any thing new on the Voltage line with 1/2 bath with at lest a 14' gauge under the V series they have one but my wife says its to small in side the living area.

Thanks for posting pics. I believe there may even be a longer one from my google activities. Can't wait to get the 3950 back from service this week. Door lock fixed, Direct TV Slim line installed, new tires and rims installed. Now I need a destination.

I also had a blowout on the Akuret tires! I had maybe, 800 miles on them, not counting the trip from the factory. I never drive over 65 with my 3950. I just replaced them all with Maxxis M8008's. I looked at Westlakes but the dealer told me they had been having trouble with them also. Do yourself a favor, if you are running the Chinese junk that comes on the trailers, replace them before you have trouble. It WILL happen if you push your luck.
