Access under Refrigerator

Does anyone know how to get behind this wooden grille underneath the refrigerator? I’ve got a water leak that needs fixing and I can’t get to it. I’ve removed the 4 screws in each corner, but it still won’t budge. My wife won’t let me get out the crowbar. Ideas? 🤔

Given the quality of work they do on these things I would suspect the weight of the refrigerator is pressing down on the louvers.

Give it a good pull on a corner or at the bottom and try and scoot it out of there a little at a time.
Once it's out and the water leak is repaired you can add hinges to the louver and have some nice storage space under there.
That is after you get all the construction materials cleaned out of the cavity.

Thanks Sun. It won’t budge from any corner even when i put an L behind it and yank. I’ll let it dry overnight, since it had been spraying out all our fresh water since we were in her last a couple weeks ago, and is really wet right now, and give it a pull tomorrow when it’s dry.

@VCToyhauler. I have a couple year newer Voltage than you and under my refrigerator is a big drawer. I mention this because it makes me think there is nothing supportive under your fridge and as the other comment suggests (and your wife opposes) I also vote for the crow bar. I can’t imagine it will be hard to reinstall the louvre whether hinged or otherwise.

And if for some reason it costs you a few bucks to fix I am happy to contribute to your GoFundMe campaign so we can learn.

Problem found

After twisting and yanking two of the slats, turns out they’re just held in by staples.
Looking in, the problem is obvious. See the act of rat? The hole in the white pressure line? 🤯

They love their staples don’t they? They also love cheap glue that stops holding about 13 months after you take delivery so all your trim pieces fall off by themself.

Glad you found the problem!
