AC/Generator question

So last Labor day I was setting up the camper and turned all 3 ac's on. Finally realized the toy hauler ac was showing a fault. It was a no or low voltage fault (can't remember). After trying several things I thought, well my corroded 50 amp plug has finally had it. Ended up hard lugging all wires together and that still didn't fix it. After that I thought, well let's see if it will turn on with generator. Generator ran but never switched power over to 5th wheel. Never got the beep. Finally after tracing wires I found I wasn't getting power to the R2 of my mini pcs module inside the breaker panel. I ended up moving that wire up to L2 where the power in was and put them together and my 3rd ac worked. My generator still won't switch over and power 5th wheel. Just runs. Is the mini pcs module bad? Can it go bad? Does one thing have anything to do with the other? They are $150 on ebay and I want to replace it but if my generator won't run after I do I'll be frustrated. My 3rd ac runs the way it is (even though I know its not right) and I want to fix that but I really like having the comfort and peace of mind of being able to turn my generator on if need be. Thank you!

Are you getting a hard thump from the transfer switch? It may not be switching over from shore power to generator. Also check the circuit breaker on the generator itself.

I dont ever hear a thump. Used to it would beep when it switched to generator power. Breakers are both good on generator itself.

On my Voltage I never notice a hard thump on transfer either. I hear the beep though. Maybe a trained ear would hear it or maybe the beep masks it. Mine is a 2018.

Maybe mine being older it doesn’t beep. On my second transfer switch and both gave/give a good thump when generator power is applied

I will check my transfer switch and see whats going on with it. Truth be told I don't even know where it is or what it looks like. Ive never had generator problems before so I know pretty much nothing about it other than changing oil and stuff like that.

I have a 2014 3950 and mine is below the steps behind the water heater. If you pull basement wall panels you should be able find it easily. Your shore power cable will go right to it

I never use all 3 units
Always 2 only
2017 voltage but when you use all 3 you are over 30 Amps
I think .

I changed out the transfer switch and rv now runs on generator power again. Still can't run third ac without jumping it from R2. Also my power monitoring system doesn't show how many amps im pulling like it used to. Just shows 0.0

Reach out to Danny at Precision Circuits (they make the LMS). (630)515-9100 ext 704.

He was extremely helpful to me in understanding the system and went so far as to reflash mine to handle 67A instead of the normal 44A before shedding loads when I upgraded to a 7500W Diesel generator.

Steve was also helpful but I dealt with Danny quite a bit. I hope he is still there.
