3970 Question

First post here...it's a question for the 3970 owners. I've got a 2014 3970 and just realized on a cold night that there is no heater ducting going into the garage. Is everyone else like this?

Do you have a circular vent on the wall under the TV? That's the heater vent.

Just above where your dust pan handle is pointing in photo.

Ya my 2014 3970 also has a duct in the garage, but it doesn't seem to put much heat into the garage area.

Does anyone know if this is standard or part of the cold weather package. I to just picked up my new Voltage and no heat. So far very disappointed in my choice of toy hauler and quality control issues. I ordered with every option available except dual pane windows. I called Dutchmen to find out about garage heat and was told it wasn't orderd with it and I said sure it was. The dealer Grumbines pulled a bait and switch I guess. I asked why I have a sticker that says cold weather package or whatever they call it plastered on the side but so far they can't answer that. The unit showed to me at the Hershey show had a Whirlpool microwave, blue RAy player and Resedential fixtures, my unit has plastic faucets and no Blue Ray. Does anyone know what the cold weather package is supposed to consist of? Dutchmen told me Friday they think they can add most of what's missing and what I paid for. I asked how they can upgrade insulation but once again can't get answers its always I'll find out and call you back. I pulled the outlet in the bedroom closet to look in at insulation and what a poor job and most is missing. I then pulled the fireplace out to look in and it scared me to see such poor workmanship. Sorry for the rant.

I pulled my under belly off last summer, the heating duct for the garage is routed between the kitchen tank and fresh water tank and then finally reaching the garage wall - no or minimum heat will reach the garage area. My 2015 had one vent installed in the garage with poor flow - understand why now. I was thinking of capping it off and running the ducting to heat my tanks better during this summer, not sure what I'm going to do. Heat for the garage, I utilize a space heater with an extension cord to a 15AMP outlet and it heats my garage up very well. You may the have ducting already routed, but the installers did not complete the installation to the garage. Voltage outlines the heat belly - that ducting going to your garage is the source for that heat. When I had everything off, I put installation all through-out the belly area and around my tanks - no issues this winter in temps down in the single digits.
