3950 bedroom slide

Finally got my 3950 home after CW punched out the window and was doing some more inspections on it. I noticed that the bedroom slide does not retract as tight as I think it should against the bulb seals on the aft edge (forward edge could be a little tighter too but at least it is compressing the seals). I have re-syncronized the motors about 10 times as shown in the video but it always closes the same.
While I had the slide extended, I when inside and was checking how tight the slide seals against the wall when I noticed the the forward edge has a gap behind the trim big enough to stick my finger tips into the space. I compared the forward trim with that along the aft edge of the slide and noticed that there appears to be 2 pieces of trim missing where the slide touches the wall. One piece appears to be a plastic rub strip perminately mounted on the wall, and the other is a colored piece of would mounted behind the trim that would make contact against the plastic rub strip when slide is fully extended.
Are these two pieces supose to be there on the forward edge of the slide interior also?
If they are suppose to be there, that might be the reason I can not seem to get the motors synced enough to pull the back of the slide to pull in tight. I am thinking the forward edge might be extending just a little more than the aft end (which fits tightly against the rub strip) and actually causing a false sync.

Here is a picture of what I think is missing on the forward edge. Are these suppose to be on the forward edge also?

Also I looked at the bottom of the slide and checked screw heads, I stopped checking after I found 3 out of 4 broken. Time to buy some screws.

Added on edit... Also there is nothing along the tim of the (interior) slide that makes any contact with the wall, should there be more trim up there also?

Nobody with a 3950 knows if those pieces of trim should be on front edge also?

Here is my slide, the end closer to the living room:

Here is the side closer to the front:

There is a space on the forward side, but at the top, it is all flush...chances are the sides are slightly off.

Although mine is a 3200, its the same. Tells me maybe they're just trying saving a piece of trim...

If you remember to look, that would be like getting a second opinion, something that is always recommended.

Ya mine is the same. Trimmed out on the side you can see and not on the other. So I looked at the rest of my slides. Same thing if it doesn't stand out it doesn't get trim I guess. All 3 slides had a piece missing on the side you can't see.........well unless you look.

Thanks for checking! Bet it was nice to see yours again, even if it is in storage.

When you are in a forum section (ie Toy Hauler, General Discussion, etc...), there is a button that says New Thread at the top. It is where the Post Reply buttin is at the top of the page if you are reading this reply.
