Pick up our new Voltage 3915 on Wednesday. Not new to RV’ing but new to toy haulers and to Dutchmen. Look forward to learning a lot

2021 Voltage 3915

Do yourself a favor and perform a thorough inspection when taking delivery. Many things can be missing or broken from minor to major.

There are several threads dealing with all the things to check on PDI so I won’t repeat but you have the greatest amount of leverage before you take it home. The warranty clock starts ticking when you take delivery so the old “those are minor issues we can fix later for you so just take it out and enjoy it first” is a bad move. It could be months before they get you an appointment and even longer while you wait for parts and repairs.

Good luck!

No joke on getting stuff fixed later sales department does not care how long rv sits For warranty work it could sit in there a lot for a month or longer after you bring it back and that time while sitting your warranty is still burning time. This is NOT like Ford where you have an issue a month later and schedule an appointment to fix it and They get it right back to you with a smile All our best Central Florida

Picked it up Friday at 1:00. Spent about 3 hours going over all the systems etc. Everything worked well (ran the slides in and out multiple times etc.) Overall fit and finish was good not great. Had a couple of cabinet door screws that were loose. Easy fix just tightened everything down. The one issue we have is that the rear party deck awning has a small (dime sized) dent in the corner. They have ordered a whole new awning for there and it’s supposed to be in next week. They scheduled us for next Thursday 2 hours. This is our 2nd camper from this dealer and they always go above and beyond. We are taking it out today for a week long shakedown.

When they have the rear awning off to replace ask them to check out the brackets to see what the screws look like that hold it in. My rear awning got blown off when it was extended a few months back. Basically, the wind blew the awning straight up and it pulled out of the bracket. Luckily the awning was not damaged as we caught it as it was falling and we were able to reinstall it.

The weak point was the lower screws in the bracket allowed it to lift up and then pull off the bracket from the bottom. I ended up drilling a couple of more holes in the brackets and used some slightly bigger diameter screws. I think fault lies with Dutchmen for how they installed the awning brackets and not with the brackets themselves.

It will be a lot easier for you to add a couple of screws now than it would if it falls.
