2017 Voltage Awning & Rain question

I wasnt able to find much on this topic when searching. My coach has 2 electric awnings and to date the practicehas always been to roll in when leaving, nigh time and during storms. My question is are these awnings designed to stay open during rain storms? Just talking a normal rain not heavy down pours or windy conditions.
Any insights would be great....thx

The arms have shock type struts that when weight of the rain overcomes them they are supposed to dump the rain and return to normal. I leave them out all the time during normal rain

Ditto, although I do run a gentle strap over the roller to a dog stake in the ground in case of a sudden wind gust so they don't lift up (and break arms and scratch full paint RV. Been there and done that!).
