I changed my five in the slide out too and found them to be somewhat too bright when I wanted the area to be cozy so I found an RF LED controller to dim or turn off the LEDs. Now it's a simple push of an up or down arrow to change the brightness of the fives.
I by passed the rocker switch also because the RF controller controls on and off function as well.
I hid the receiver in one of the puck light pockets and mounted the transmitter on the wall to where I usually sit.

On an aside, do you ever wonder why they didn't drop 110v AC in that slide while doing all the wiring for the overhead lights? It's a PITA to have to use an extension cord every time I need 110v on the table or any where in the big slide.

Could you provide a link where you got the RF controller? I'd like to change out my pull-chain for that.

Yes, I do wonder why they did not provide 110 VAC for the spot where we spend most of our time. We keep a switched AC outlet strip on the couch between us. It has a 15 foot cord that we run behind the couch and plug it in under the steps to the bedroom. We do have to remember to unplug it and lay the cord on the front edge of the slide-out before we retract it. We both use laptops a lot and it helps to keep that AC strip handy between us.

Steve and Arlan,

You guys are correct on the Sconce lights in the pop-out. I also like the idea of the pull chains for the pucks! I will go ahead and add the wedge lights to those lights as well. Much appreciated!

I also installed a pull-chain for the five overhead puck lights in the slide-out. We didn't like the overhead lights on all the time but wanted the little corner lights on most of the time. We could not do that without the pull-chain because they were all wired together on one rocker switch in the control center. Here is a picture to try to illustrate my pull-chain addition.

I just drilled a small hole for the pull-chain cord and placed the switch above the small hole. All 5 of the puck lights were wired from that one puck light so the switch controls all 5 puck lights. We don't use those puck lights very often so the pull-chain is used very little.
Resurrecting an older thread....we have a 3950 and I immediately started looking for a way to keep the LED lights off, yet use the sconce lights... I will give this a shot, though I will look to add a push button switch (maybe) as I have an 11 and 8 year old that may try to use the pull chain for little green army men...

I am also looking to do the same thing in the island, though a pull chain may work there, I may entertain the wireless controller too. Anyway, have you looked into this? Are all 3 LED above the island central to one?

Thanks,

Cale
