Water tank

I am sure this has been posted before. How much bleach or chlorine is average to put in fresh water tank. And do you all do this every time ? Thanks in advance,, what a great site.

I use 1/4 cup bleach for every 15 gallons.
I do it once a season when de-winterizing and leave it in the tank overnight.

I only put the bleach in the tank and run it through the lines once at the start of each season. We also don't camp with water hookups and there is almost always at least some water in the tank all summer.
However, I don't drink the water in the tank and have never had a reason to do it more than once a year. If it started to smell I would do it more often, but in 6 years I have not had any issues doing it this way.

I dont drink the water either , normally take a couple gallons or so of water from home. You answered my question perfectly. Thank you so much for your reply, greatly appreciated. Have a great holiday.
