TV Mount

Hello,

New member here. We have a 2018 Dutchmen Atlas 2952RLF and I’m having an issue with a TV mount location. In the bedroom, there’s an electrical outlet as well as 2 coax outlets for cable/satellite connections on the ceiling above the wall opposite the bed. This is obviously the installation location that would make the most sense for a tv mount. Unfortunately if there was a “TV Mount” sticker, it was removed with no trace of it’s location (we purchased this trailer used) and this is a pocket door wall. I’ve searched everywhere to find out if this wall has the board in it to mount a TV to no avail. Is there any fellow Atlas owners out there that can confirm? Or, anyone knowledgeable of this model that can confirm? Any help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Even if there was a sticker, you can’t trust it. Because it is a pocket door wall, I doubt you would be able to mount a tv in the traditional way.

I would suggest using a stud finder, which is relatively easy. I had a sticker on my wall in the exact same type of configuration with a pocket door and the sticker was in the wrong place anyway. I would NEVER trust anything like a location sticker from the factory and their team anyway.

I would suggest using a strap with latches under the mount to secure your TV when in motion if you opt for a mount on a swing arm as it will move when trailering.

Also make sure to measure the pocket door width to make sure your installation location doesn’t interfere with the door travel.
