Goose Box?

Does anyone here use a Reese Goose Box on the Dutchman fiver?

We just bought a Astoria 2953RLF, and it's my preferred path so I'm hoping for some feedback

TIA

I have never seen any written proof of it but it has been an "Internet fact" for as long as I can remember that using any type of goose box voids your warranty because it puts different stresses then a fiver hitch is designed for on the frame.
Like I said, never seen it writing other than on the interweb, but now that I think about it, I haven't seen any on the road in a couple of years.

I've read the same, with regard to a GooseNeck Adapter, but the Goose Box is something different, which from what I understand is "supported" by Lippert

Just a thought... you may also want to consult with your insurance company.

I can't find it now, but I remember reading on an RV forum sometime last year about someone with a 5th wheel rig involved in a crash... and they were complaining that their insurance company was refusing to pay claims because they were using one of those type systems.

Again, I don't remember the exact wording in the post, but it was something along the lines that the insurance company said they had the right to reject the claim based on the fact that their policy stated the use of any modified and/or non-standard equipment to connect the RV & tow vehicle were grounds to make the policy null & void.

I use a GooseBox with our '12 3850RL Infinity, enjoy the air bag in the hitch and bags on 2500HD S/A and DMax. Wired in O/DL/O switch to the earlier Allison, also helps my situation.

I use a goosebox on my 2020 Chaperral. It was installed by the dealer who said no problem with warranty. The “gooseneck adapter” is a different story I’m told.
