Fan Noise in wall behind Bathroom sink

Voltage 3818

Started hearing this humming noise and listened by the vent under the bathroom and you hear it, if you go in bedroom and put your ear to the wall of the bathroom you can hear it, if you go outside in the storage compartments, you hear it, it soulds like an exhaust fan running. Never heard it before and can not locate anything.

Might be your converter. It is behind the panels in your basement.

Thanks, I was thinking of that, but have never heard it before and this is in the wall behind the bath sink. Sounds just like a small exhaust fan running.

As Eightydo says, it's the converter.

OK thanks, do you know if it has a cooling fan associated with it? Or why it might have just started. Just curious.

Converters do have cooling fans, depending on the model it may have a variable speed fan. On mine the fan comes on when you hit a certain temp or 12 volt load. In my case swapping out to LED lighting means the fan seldom comes on.

Great, thanks for that info, I am sure that is what it was, I was just not sure if the convertors had cooling fans but it sure makes sense! Thanks Again for the replies
