Air Conditioning Slots in Overhead Wood Panel restrict air flow

Comrades,

One of my gripes with my Infinity 3850 is that the front bedroom AC discharge goes through some narrow lateral slots in a wood overhead panel instead of the more traditional multiple ceiling vents that I had with my previous Grand Junction 5ver. In our Infinity, we have two AC units yet it seems the bedroom is not getting the same cooling the main areas are getting. I recognize we purchased a brand new model so this could be a new design flaw but I am hoping I can make a modification to open up the air flow. Wondering if I have to wait until the warranty expires before I can have a tech explore some custom mods to open up the vent system. If the Dutchmen engineers folks are reading this- here is some field feedback to improve the design.

Mark

Looks vs operability

You bet they missed the mark. They missed it so well in 2012 that they didn't change a thing in the 2013.

We haven't been in enough extreme heat to be an issue to this point. If we do, we'll get involved with installing an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. I won't mess with the duct work.

The slotted woodwork for the air ducts looks good, but that' it.

After warranty, let us know what you did and how you did it.

2013 Infinity 3640RL - living room a/c

We have had our camper since April 1st and it's been in the shop 4 times having the a/c worked on and still has not been fixed. The a/c unit in the bedroom cools that room no problem, but the living room a/c(ducted)will not keep the LR and kitchen area cool even in just 80 degree weather. Has anyone else had a problem with this and was it resolved?
