286 REX and a HW 30 Surge Protector

Just bought a 2013 286REX. I was thinking of installing a HW30 Surge protector but I cant seem to find a suitable place to place the unit. I checked behind the ckt panel and there is no room. Just wondering if any other owner have had theirs installed or installed them themselves

I installed mine in the cabinet beneath the TV.

Cool

The TV on the 286REX is located in the rear, how did you locate the wires for that

Mine is 6 inches from my transfer box. Shore power to transfer, then thru surge to panel.

I wired mine in between shore plug and the transfer switch, so that if shore power is bad that it won't damage the transfer switch. The generator has its own voltage protection, so I don't worry about getting bad power from the gen.
