Exclamation Water leak

Hello All,

I have a 2005 Dutchmen Classic 26FB travel trailer. It's 26' long, front 1/4 of length is the bedroom, the back 1/4 is the bathroom which has a shower stall, sink and toilet. the middle half of camper is the kitchen/living area including pullout. On our last camping trip we connected the water hose to the city water connection
like normal except water came gushing out of the back right hand corner coincidentally beneath where the shower is located. So I have a leak in my main water line. How do I find out where without ripping apart the bottom of my camper? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks for any help.

I had this happen one time on my old camper—it was the clamp connection to the water heater. Where is that located? Hoping it’s an easy fix for you.

The blow out could be any fitting, connection, or hose.

Many builders use short lengths of flexible hose to connect appliances and bulkhead fittings to the PEC tubing inside. The connectors are sometimes hand tight threaded fittings that may come loose. The hoses themselves sometimes crack or burst.

Sometimes screw clamps are used. They can also come loose.

Frozen water lines can burst fittings and valves. Over stressed fittings can break.

I don't know how you would fix it with out digging in and finding the break. You need access to fix it.

Sometimes you can open an access panel under the shower or under a vanity cabinet. It is hard to work through those small holes, but it may save you from opening the bottom.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!

I was pleasantly surprised to find I have two freshwater valves for draining. I have a fast blade valve like on your black and gray tanks and the slow cap drains discussed earlier. Do you?

Sometimes an endoscope helps Better making a small hole first. I have one that attaches to my iPad or my phone.

My TT has an access door below the shower door. Check to see if yours does also; if so, that may provide a way to inspect under the shower. I had to open up my under belly which was a pain in the but. My under belly was riveted on so had to grind the rivet head off than the stuff just fell off. Knock the remaining rivet parts out using a punch and hammer. I got some rivets and riveter on Amazon to reattach the under belly material. Good luck fixing your leak.
