TV Inverter

We just bought a 2012 Aspen Trail 3120RLDS and so far we love it. Many of the campgrounds we frequent have a 10pm quiet time and generators need to be shut down, unfortunately that is when the tv is usually being turned on. I am looking to put in a power invertor and was wondering if it is safe to use the 12 volt supply provided or is it too far from the batteries. The batteries are at the front and 12 volt supply is in the back. Any suggestions on this or any other thoughts on power inverters as I have never used one before?

Re: TV Inverter

Congrat's on the new trailer!

You might want to check into a TV that will work off of 12V directly, they usually draw fewer amps and inverters are usually pretty inefficient (and expensive for a good one). How many amp hours of battery do you have now? Be sure to have reserve for lights (they draw a lot) and the furnace.

Have fun!

Re: TV Inverter

I've got a 2012 Aspen Trail2710BH and I've used a 300 watt continous PSW inverter plugged directly into the 12V outlet behind the TV in order to run the TV without any problem. My inverter does have a cooling fan which would turn on when the TV did, so the noise was a little annoying. I run my inverter setup differently now but it certainly worked fine as described above.
