Slideout not engaging unless started with manual crank

Hello Folks
Ok, 2017 Coleman 300TQ toyhauler, Has the lippart rack & pinion slideout system. Retracts just fine, but when we retract all the way until you hear the gears start clicking loud, then stop. Press the switch and try to extend and they sound like they are not engaging all the way and the slide doesn't move. I get the manual crank out and turn it 1 full crank to open. It feels hard at first, then spins easy if I go more than 1 revolution. I only have to take the tension off of it and it extends out just fine using the switch. I have adjusted the "cone stop" on the extension rod in and out several inches and that doesn't make any difference on opening it. Do I need to replace the gear box or keep adjusting the cone till I find the sweet spot? We bought the camper in 2019 and it was only used 3 times by original owner. No other problems with the camper, we love it.

Thanks Mike, I can't even figure out how to edit my post. I have learned a lot from the site but I think I will head back to the University of YouTube and search some more. Thanks again.
