slide out gasket wipes out window caulk

I have a 2605RL Coleman TT and when it is hot, and I open the slide, I see the black caulk around the window gets pulled out some, the gasket grabs it and rolls it onto the gasket, the window. It makes a mess. anyone else have this issue? I tried to chat with Coleman tech about this, really got no answer. Only a year old, and this summer it happened, and yes darn hot this summer.

Put baby powder on your gaskets and they won't stick. Do this about twice a year.

I had wondered how long the baby powder would last, and I did that, and first sprayed the silicone stuff on it, let it set for several days and then using my xmas light decorating extension pole and a sock, I powdered it up as best I could under the topper awning. This mess happened when I opened it the first time this late spring, so i hope next spring to open it well before the 90 degree days hit to powder it up. sure made a mess, I used a plastic scrapper to get as much of the black window sealer/caulk off the room gaskets, windows.. little concern it took out enough sealer to be a water problem. I had to take my RV back to dealer for the room topper they installed, as it was dragging on the roof due to them installing a bent roller and the canvas was being torn, and not testing it when the FINALLY got it installed. GOING to the CW dealer for service is purgatory. Recommend that when the dealer does some service, they should come out and test it out while you stand with them. my slide-out topper was making funny noise when I tried it out on their lot. I just thought my seals were little sticky from being cold and getting hot and stuck to the trailer. NOPE it was the canvas renting on angle piece, the piece you add to insure it doesn't rub on the trailer's room frame....

You never should have started with the silicone. I put the silicone on about twice a year alternating with the baby powder. I was surprised how long it lasted. I thought it would have been washed off or something but it stayed pretty well.

as i say lessons learned, wish I had something better to get under the gasket out in the middle of the room - under the slideout awning. And you do both inside and outside gaskets, I assume.
