Angry Slide Damaged first time out (of yard)

Took the new gurl out camping out of the yard, was putting out slides, odd sounds began and slide struggling. DW goes into slight panic mode and im outside watching the slide stop halfway. Run inside and " ohh bleep". photo#1- Slide trim was at about 15 degrees off from frame. you can see the inside trim came off some. The so called frame/trim leaning against that "end table" fell off and into the slide as it was going out. Photo#2- Cable standoff is bent and you can see where the frame contacted the slide. photos#3-4- Screw holes in back of frame that fell are not even 1/8 inch deep into frame

Any Ideas on best way to replace this bracket?. that bracket is like $7. Ill pay that than deal with dealership or manufacture holding my trailer hostage for longer than 2 days,

I know this is a little late and sightly off topic..

When ever you can (always) have someone inside watching when ever the slide/s are in movment.

Now for a bit of humour.

She was inside and I was outside. Really felt there was no reason to look because we didnt have anything up front and was a little bit hard to check with large kitchen island in middle. Now she partially opens slide and then wiggles back up there to look...

Hope you were able to fix your rig.

We have had a thing or two drop down/wedge itself in the way over the past few years..

The "worst" was when my daughter was knee high to a grass hopper, she had put her favorite big rubber ball in the forward birth. My wife didn't see that it was resting against the slide out prior to sending it out. By the time we realized something was wrong, **** was sideways. There wasn't enough room to crawl in front of the slide out, just enough room to sneak an arm around the corner. After my quick draw of a cold steal knife and one very load POP, the problem was fixed. Followed by tears and crying of the young woman cub. I'm sure there was a colorful word or two when I told her we will get you a new ball.

Just had a idiot slide moment on my way home from Florida this year. Having been stationary for 6 months, I forgot my routine. Went to pull door side slide in but forgot to pull the leaf out of the dining room table. Loud crack as table went into glass front of island, also gouging wood trim. I think front panel is one piece. Betting a grand. Live and learn.

While TDY at tyndal AFB, Panama City FL I was driving through town in heavy traffic and spied a 5th wheel ahead of me. Every time the driver turned to the Left, the slide out would come out, when they turned right it would slide back in and look fine. There was no way for me to catch up to the driver, and I ocasinally wonder how that turned out for the driver and or what ever they hit..
