No Longer TT Virgins!!

Well, we took out our 2014 Denali 289RK (bought new last October) for its maiden voyage from May 9th to the 19th. We tested everything and used every option and we were so happy that there was not a single problem!!! At the end however, there were some minor adjustments to make which took the dealer all of about an hour to make. Needless to say, we made the right choice!! This TT is extremely well built and towing it with our 2013 F-150 Ecoboost, I could barely tell it was there. Gas mileage ranged anywhere from 18-20gph at 55mph, depending on the wind.

Now we leave again on June 1st for a whole month....can't wait!!!

At 55 mph going for 10 hours that's 3 mpg.
Something is amiss. Probably my 6th grade math learnings.

No....calculated using the old method of filling before leaving and then when arriving....these are CND gallons though so .7L more than a US gal.

I used to be a Paramedic. The big ladder truck at Station 1 downtown's engineer told me the mileage was "gallons per mile"

I own a truck like that... I have an old Dodge with a 390 in it, 4:58 gears, I swear it drinks gas while it is sitting in the barn!

that is the way I had it written but it is, at least up here, miles per gallon. Maybe your ladder friend has been up too high on the ladder....LOL Must be a great guy anyway since he's a firefighter!!!!

I have seen plenty of heavy equipment where fuel consumption is calculated in gallons per hour, and I could see gallons per mile. IIRC the big tanks that the US military uses are done that way.

That's what I figured with the heavy fire fighting equipment that it would be more precise to calculate it that way as it is for the military. Stay safe and keep the greasy side down!!
