Newbie Help

I just purchased an Aspen Trail RKS2390 travel trailer. Did not come with TV. There is an are in the dinette area for one and the bedroom. There is nothing to indicate it's placement? I don't want to drill holes into something I should not. Please help. Thanks

Re: Newbie Help

Did you buy this from a dealer or a private party?
Either way, the local Aspen dealer should be able to help you. If they do have one in stock with the TV's mounted, you could go there and see how and where they are fastened.
Or, go online and try to look up the brochure for your Aspen. I'll bet the pictures include where the TV's are mounted.....

Re: Newbie Help

I bought it from a dealer and they were not much help. Except to say that normally they put a sticker where the TV goes. I know the wall it goes on in both rooms but not sure what is behind it. I will do some more research. Thank you for your input.

Re: Newbie Help

Try gently pressing on the walls. You will find that the paneling bows slightly in most places. This is NOT where you mount anything. Where the TV goes you will find the wall firm and will not bow when pressed. This is because there is a plywood panel placed behind the paneling in these areas so that you can screw a TV mount bracket there.
The use of a stud finder will also show these places quite well.

Re: Newbie Help

I contacted Dutchmen regarding a ceiling schematic in the bathroom for my Aspen Trail 2710BH because for some reason my TT did not come with a bathroom fan installed. They provided a schematic that verified where the ceiling trusses were so I could do the install myself. I suggest trying to contact Dutchmen for a wall schematic of your trailer.
