Memory foam on top of mattress

So we are considering a replacement or add on to the stock queen mattress. As the stock mattress is not the best. We saw at costco
a memory foam by novaform 3". We considering this a add on to the existing mattress as a topper.

Anyone had expereience with the memory foam?

yes.. In Iraq we had to use it on our beds there. It was very helpful with a couple drawbacks. First we felt like sleeping in a hole. It molded around you.. Next it was hot. It doesn't breathe very well and held heat. The mattresses there were like box springs here.. HARD>

We now have a bed cover on our mattress in our RV now. Its not a solid piece of foam its like you think of but rather quilted pockets of Down I think. Its thick and soft but not hot. It is from Bed Bath and Beyond. Its the most thick they have and it works well.

Yes, but we got the 4" and I will tell you it is too thick! Extremely comfortable but would definitely go with the 3 or even 2" if we could do it over. In our case at least, it made our bed so high my wife has to use a step stool! Also, you may have to trim to fit. Our bed is a camper queen which is 6" shorter than a standard queen but easy to cut with a large butcher knife. Also, let the topper lay flat for a day or two to return to its normal size and shape as it comes wrapped tightly in plastic and is highly compressed. Highly recommend for the comfort.

We got memory form for our bed as well, but placed it under our mattress. It made the bed softer without the heat or friction.

We have not experienced heat or friction from the mattress topper. We do use a mattress pad on the topper which may make the difference but also adds to the thickness issue I referred to above.

3 inch

We did the 3" inch memory gel from Khols. Used large scissors to cut to length. Was great, I sleep hot, but the gel was better than the foam.

We bought the Serta queen and converted the king frame. So far so good (aside from bracing the bed) as we had the same unit in on a residential bed frame. We have looked at the additional pads at Sams club but haven't pulled the trigger yet as we sleep ok.

I have the costco topper on the Queen bed that came with our 2810BHS. I sleep like a dream on that - I almost think it's more comfortable than our Tempurpedic Cloud-Luxe that we have at home!

We did the Costco 3" topper and we love it. It added the length for me from the RV queen to sleep on my back and alleviated the hardness that my wife was complaining about.

We picked up the gel foam 3" at Kohls tonight. It was 55% off the 489.00

Plus it had a $25.00 rebate. Then DW had a 20% off coupon. So out the door we were at $149.00 and change.

So we try it this next week end on our Yellowstone trip.

Went with a mattress from Wayfair as it was one of the few to have a 54x80/full xl.

I put their 8"Classic Brands mattress (6 inches orthopedic foam and 2 inches memory foam) on top of the dinette cushions for our bed. I looked at the 3" and 4" toppers but I got the mattress for about $100 more.

It is tall sitting on top of the cushions in bed mode, but still not as tall as my house bed.

Wish I had not waited a year to do it.

We got the 4 inch Mem foam from Kohls on sale also about 149.
I didn't have to cut it just wrapped the excess around the bottom and now regular size sheets fit fine.
