Maiden Voyage of our 2921FDKS Ultimate

Hello All, A week ago my wife and I venture to Salt Springs campground about a two hours drive to do a shake-down our new 2022 Dutchman Kodiak.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the following issues? Thankfully no major issue other than the following.
1) Drive EEVD-08 Bluetooth speaker does not have power connected to base on wall. (Power charger attached to wall has no electricity)
2) Kitchen "tower of Power" cap broken.
3) The outdoor rope lighting only illuminates directly above entrance door.
4) Side window shade in slide-out will nor retract.
5) Interior trimming in several locations hanging loose.
6) No manual for AC units or thermostat
7) Difficult to close both seat recliners

Again we're pleased that no major issues to stop us from continuing camping.
We have an appointment to take the unit back to CW to explain our issues so they can then make an appointment to get fixed. (seems they can't/will/not take our word.
I would love to do the work (that I can do) myself but it would void warranty.
Anyone else have similar experiences on new units?

Best wishes Norm and Mary

Dealer did a lousy per-delivery inspection. Take it back and get it fixed and also do another inspection. Look for check list on google.

Its a Dutchmen brand. Your experience is all to common with Dutchmen. My Dutchmen Kodiak Cub was far worse. Persistence and patients are required.

Camping world huh? Well, be prepared for a wait. The best way to get things done is like chily and persistent mentioned. A PDI is a great way to start RV purchasing. I noticed at CW, they rush you through the initial “introduction” to your rv without really telling you much and when they do the initial inspection, it’s usually a non inspection (on paper only). Which is too bad for the new owner. In the past, we have posted several pre-delivery checklists on this site. Search for one and go through it. Make sure all systems are working, including heaters, stoves, ac units, etc..

Thank all of you for sharing your comments I really do appreciate the responses. One item I left off the list was the VERY noisy front A/C unit. It has a rattling sound which I youtubed.....
We made an appointment with CW-Tampa on the 29th June (b/c that's how it works there) to officially inform them of the listed items needing repaired.

Nope, no YouTube vids for me! Are you looking for something special? I’m only on two RV forums that I remember, this one and the grand design forum. I’m a member of the Nissan Titan XD forum also

It isn't just Dutchmen. I also belong to the Forest River, Jayco Owners Forums as well as RV.net. I also look on Striker Toyhauler, Grand Design & Heartland forums. Everyone complains of the same problems from minor to major including some that require replacement of the whole rig. My 2019 3551 has not been in for warranty work but has had some minor trim related issues. They all use components from the same manufactures and they all use the cheapest labor they can find, except for some smaller companies that aren't bought up by Thor yet.

Update: 2nd Voyage of our 2921FDKS Ultimate

Well......just completed a 3-week journey to the Knoxville area and 5 other campgrounds as we made our way back to Lakeland and would love to brag about the new TT but unfortunately all did not go as planned.

1) The "Drive EEVD-08" bluetooth speaker which was fixed from CW never
connected to our Iphone or other devices. (What a waste) (No radio or outside
speakers)
2) The outdoor awning lighting still not installed.
3) Side window shade in slide-out still not installed.
4) Interior trimming in new locations separating due to stables failing.
5) Difficult to closing seat recliner.
6) Microwave door doesn't open without help. (Butter knife)
7) Hot water supply line below Kitchen sink leaking. (Joint connection at plex
fitting)
8) Black/gray primary cable valves inoperable leaking waste thru endcap.
(Solution: Purchased Valterra twist on waste valve/coupler)
9) Tire blow-out on I-75 south of Macon, Ga. (thankfully we have Goodsams)
The tires Ridgeway Sport P225/75R15 HL001 (date: 2221) have less than
1000 miles and had 65psi in all four tires and can't locate new tires
anywhere.

So disappointing to spend money on a new RV Trailer and see that the manufacture's Q/C are non-existing.
My Wife and I actually love the TT because of the massive amount of storage, the king bed and kitchen area.

Well, CW is famous for not doing complete checks on the RV’s before they go out-as a matter of fact, most dealers don’t do very well in that department.

Go with the Goodyear endurance tires, tire rack has them and you can get them installed just about anywhere or take one off at a time and bring them to Firestone or someplace to get valve stems installed and the tires mounted and balanced.

Google high pressure metal valve stems. -Amazon has them for next day delivery.

American tire also stocks Goodyear endurance tires.
