I have a Dutchmen 275BH. There is a light switch just inside the door on a panel that contains the other trailer switches - Hot water, etc as well as the monitor panel for the batteries, tank levels and such. It only controls the ceiling entry way light. The thought is that when you are at the top of the steps you can easily reach the switch and turn on the entryway indoor light easily without having to be inside a dark trailer fumbling to turn on the light. It does have an unusual property though. If the switch on the light itself is off and the doorway switch it turned on the light won't turn on. you would still have to turn it on at the light fixture. The idea is to leave the switch on the light ON. I keep battling with my wife over this. I want to use the switch just inside the door and she wants to use the switch on the light. She refuses to use a cell phone too.
