First night/trip in new Denali 289RK

Pull from Knoxville to Maxwell AFB yesterday. First night was very comfortable. Finding a few settling in issues that afe being sorted out. Learned that the rog is left sode heavy, si I will need to raise the left side when setting up. (I thonk it is the weoght of the slide)

Second is that my Ram 1500 has plenty of power and capicity to handle the trailer. Yes, I lnow that there is more trailer behind than before.

Need towel racks and space for phone/tablet recharging.

So far so good.

I have the same rig. You're right about the left side being heavy after extending the slideout. I've learned to level it somewhat high on that side before extending the slide in order to get everything level.
Great trailer though.

Love the floor plan. Just right for the two of us and the minischnauzer.

Mine is unlevel with the slide out too. I use Andersen Levelers so I can get it perfect every time. After a few tries, you will find the spot on you level the brings that side perfect.

Do you have any mods done to your truck? I have a '12 ram 1500 as well and have an issue with the rear end squat and my "factory tongue weight" is around 400lbs less than yours. I have been trying to decide between the air spring helper bags or just full 5000lbs bags. Just trying to find out what folks are using and how well they work.

I have not done any mods to the truck, yet. It does squat somewhat. I am considering air bags.

The 5k air bags sound like overkill for what you need.

Yeah without a doubt... I'm sure I will go with the air lift 1000 coil bags. As far as the research I've done it looks like they will work pretty well for this application and the install will be a piece of cake.
