Do I have a heater?!

Hey all hoping someone can help me out,
I purchased a 1996 areolite 16, this is my first trailer so excuse my ignorance, it has what looks like a heater in the interior below the fridge, but no thermostat to be found, and the only access on the exterior of the trailer that I have found is for (I believe) the back of the fridge and the water heater.

Is this a interior heater? and if so, anyone know what I am missing here on how to light it? The front panel is attached with screws, so no easy access to a pilot light.

Thanks in advance!

It may be air intake duct for the refrigerator and/or water heater, providing they are gas appliances.
Show us a photo of the exterior where the exhaust ports are.

Found this. It appears you have a heater.

That most definitely looks like a propane furnace, it looks just like the one in my parent's small Funfinder 139X. Rather than blowing heated air through floor ducts, it all blows out of that grill shown in the picture. Theirs does have a thermostat on the wall, so I'm not familiar with how else it would work if you can't find a thermostat. Also electric start without needing a pilot light. I think their camper is roughly 2000 vintage.
As far as what you see outside, their small furnace just has small roughly 2 inch by 4 inch metal plate with 2 holes in it (intake and exhaust? One of them is definitely exhaust anyway). "HOT" is stamped onto the metal plate.
Kind of like this if I remember right, I haven't looked at it in a long time.

Yes, you have a furnace. Suburban Furnace 2503APW 16,000 BTU (NT-16SEQ) Look this up. It has electronic ignition so no pilot light is needed. You should have a thermostat that controls both heating and cooling.
