Re: dewinterizing
My dewinterizing consisted of draining the lines to the street, filling the fresh water tank and flushing the system. I didn't notice any issues with the taste of the potable anti-freeze. I also didn't do the shock chlorination step as I brought drinking water along for my first trip and only used the RV water for toilet, showering and washing dishes. I do know of someone who did the shock chlorination step and had to dechlor because the taste was unbearable. The other thing is that it doesn't look like mine even had been winterized (or maybe they dewinterized before they turned it over to me) because the hot water tank valves were not in by-pass mode. By the way, those valves and the pump are behind the access panel below the oven. Regardless, the whole dewinterizing thing turned out to be a non-event.
For winterizing next year, I don't plan to use ani-freeze but rather, I think I will just blow out the lines with air (unless someone convinces me that is not a good idea).
