Coming Out of Storage Maintenance?

What are some good maintenance tips coming out of storage?

'16 Aerolite 298 RESL

I'm not sure the type of slides I have.

I have cable slide and not sure on the other slide. Schwin-Tek? My manual is so generic it has little value.

My other slide has rails underneath. Not sure if it's electric or hydraulic.

Thanks

You can get much better manuals if you find out what type slides you have and print out. I have been doing the same thing on mine. I'm a new owner as well, but for sure check your batteries are fully charged and tires up to proper pressure for starters. I bought some spray for my slides as well off Amazon. Good Luck!

I like to give my hot water talk a good flushing. Lots of good you tube videos describing vinegar cleaning. I also like to get on the roof and look for cracked seals.

I'll be taking the cover off ours the next few day. Here's my list:
1. Hook up battery. (Been on tender all winter)
2. Check propane tank levels
3. Check tire pressure
4. Plug in shore power.
5. Lube Slide rails prior to operation
6. Open slides
7. Spray all slide rubber seals. Check for issue
7.5 Change hot water tank back to NORMAL. Not bypass for antifreeze.
7.6 Check low point drain valve. Enure it's tight. Close Fresh water tank drain valve.
8. Hook up water line
9. Run water through all faucets. Rinsing out all antifreeze.
10. Unhook hose. Hook to fill fresh water tank. ( I will rinse out and then do a sanitization with 1/2 cup bleech overnight. Then rinse again next day.
11. Check interior for anything odd, like roof discoloration, spots on walls, anything that may indicate an issue.
12. Clean, Clean, Clean.
13. Inspect root. Seal with dicor or approved roof patch for your rig. I do this twice a year.
14. Check tire pressure of spare tire.
15. Last is restock. We wash all camper linens in the fall and pack away in tubs so they are each to take out and unpack.
That's my basic checklist. I'm sure I missed a few thing.
Looking forward to a great 2017 Camping!

Flush antifreeze out of lines with fresh water BEFORE you "un-bypass" the water heater. Otherwise you'll push the pink stuff through the tank. Check battery acid levels after a winter of tender. All my cells were down 1/4 inch. Apply grease inside ball coupler hitch. Run AC on max at coldest setting until you feel Real Cold, not just cool. It takes mine almost 30 mins to wake up. After flushing water lines, drain gray and black tank as soon as you can. I always have a little mold around the toilet, a regular toilet scrubbing disposable works great.

Both good input.

I've already used my trailer. Brought it home from my trip and had a few days below 0. Spring is here now!

Thanks,

Check age of the tires. Especially if are the Chinese trailer tires. I change my tires at 5 years no matter what they look like. Also Wheel bearings grease them and at same check all the brakes.
