Bumper mount grill

I bought my Coleman 244BH used, and it came with a bumper mount for a grill, but no grill. It also had this secomd piece of metal in the pass thru that I assume was for the grill, but doesnt seem to fit 100%. Anybody else have this setup? Wondering if I have this right or if im missing anything.

No clue on the grill, but the water heater looks correct.

Is it just that there's no bypass on this system? Camping World did my winterization so I didnt set it up.

The upper valve closes off water from exiting the heater. The lower valve diverts water from entering the heater, up the bypass pipe. As long as the upper valve is also closed, no water flows through the heater. It's actually an efficient/elegant setup. Just remember when winterizing to open both the heater drain valve/plug as well as the pressure relief valve to drain the heater.

When dewinterizing, be sure to flush the system before opening the heater valves to prevent antifreeze from getting into the heater. It's also a good idea to remove the heater drain plug and thoroughly flush the heater. We get lots of white residue (lime?) coming out when we do this.

I have a similar mounting bracket for the outdoor bumper grill but my bracket only has one section... not two like yours. Not sure what that's for but it must be for a particular grill. Chances are they used the grill in a table-top arrangement instead of using it attached to the bumper mount. Do you have a gas line near the bumper mount? If not that may be why you have that grated platform area; it for resting the portable gas bottle on while using the grill.
