Hello All, sorry if this question has been ask. I want to replace the existing inner and outer wheel bears/seals on my 2015 Aerolite 288RLSS. I was told I had to remove existing inner/outer bearings on each wheel to get the proper numbers.
Is there an easier way. Thanks Norm
3500# axle for your model. Dutchmen switched from Dexter to Lippert axles after serial number FP910516. The serial number is the last 8 numbers of your VIN. You can order bearings and grease seals from the internet as long as you know the size and make of your axle.
Revere411 thanks for the response my last 8 vin# FP910072 so is it save to save that the axles are dexter? I took a picture of the axle sticker Dexter numbers 2833819 capacity 3500lbs thanks Norm
Here is the service manual. Unless there is some sort of damage to the bearings, you can just remove them, inspect them, repack them with grease, and reinstall them. You will just needs bearing seals. Look at YouTube and search bearing repack or bearing service. light-duty-hubs-drums-and-bearingsd07a839d2ba463c18d7aff64007a4014.pdf
I big "shout out" Revere411 for their input .
Yesterday I replaced the breaks and bearings on our 2015 Aerolite 288RLSS.
Since I'm mechanically challenged it was a great accomplishment with the help of youtube and etrailer.com
Thanks to the forum for the valuable insite they provide
