Aspen Trail - Antenna/Cable Issues

So, the TV used to work through the TV Antenna from the roof of the trailer. Last time I tried it though, we could not get any channels to work. Figure it is a wiring issue or there is switch I don't know about.
Later, I had the park manager meet the cable guy at my trailer and they could not get the cable to work either. Their fix is to run the cable cord through an open window and connect to the TV that way.

Any ideas for a newbie trailer owner? Thanks.

A couple of possibilities... did you turn the amplifier off? There is a little button on the plate where the TV plugs into the cable, there is usually an LED to tell you if it is on or off. You need it on for the antenna, off for the cable. If that doesn't fix the problem, you may need to pull the plate and find out if they actually hooked the cable side up to the plate. There are two ports on the back of the plate, one for the antenna and one for the cable inlet.

I second what Aaron said and add a third posibility. Did you change geographical area? You may also have to relearn your stations on the television using your menu. Have to re-teach these new fangled digital tuners when ever you move to differant area.

Forgot about that. We typically only camp at one state park, so the TV is set for that one. If we even bother to turn it on. I usually do it when I turn it on and figure out that I don't have any channels.

I will check the amp, does it flush mount similar to an electtical outlet? It this also what I pull out to check if hitting the button does not work? I was thinking a loose connection in the back of the radio/DVD.
Thanks for the help. I'll let you all know what I find after this weekend.

Oh, and no, I have not changed locations. Hopefully just the kids pushing buttons.

The amp is built into the plate along with the 12 volt plug.

Are you in the same location as the last time it worked?
I would still run the channel search - like you said the kids may have played with the buttons!

That is a 12 volt power supply. Some people use 12 v televisions so they don't have to hook up to shore power or run an inverter. The small black button is to power the amp on and off, the LED is right next to the button. It may be a red or green. LED on means amp on.
