What to do now?
I have my new TT in the shop for a bunch of things. This one I bet you haven't heard before.
The TV antenna placement is above the dining room slide. In that slide is of course the dinette with its under bench pots and pans storage along with an above the recliner ceiling cabinets.
Here's the rub, pun intended. With items stored away in the above areas, the flat floor slide ramps at a slightly different angle. That slight change caused the slide to hit, and break, the antenna crank, rotating dial and who knows what above. Even the service manager had a good laugh when he tried to raise the antenna and it fell apart in his hand.
The fix could be as easy as cutting a relief area in the trim, but that would look terrible. Would have to be over 1 1/2" deep and 6" to 7" wide. Can not trim the shaft or the rotating dial would not work. Moving the unit would leave a hole in the roof with a patch.
So, I guess, the question is who was the pin head who decided to put the antenna there and is that person still working for Dutchman/Coleman.
There are more problems, some worse, but I had to share this one.
