Advent AC unit Aspen Trail

I have a 2013 Aspen Trail 2810 BHS with a advent air conditioner and digital thermostat with the dial and single temp gauge. Is there any way to just run the fan with this? It has 3 fan settings but only runs when the heat is on or AC is on. I would like to run the fan only when I have the windows open. Can I change this thermostat out with a regular house one or will it not work?

Thanks,

Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike.

Can't help you with your T-stat question, but what we do is open a couple of windows on the shaded side of the camper and run the Fantastic vent. Doing this gets rid of the hot air at the ceiling and brings cooler fresh air in.

We do alot of boondocking and I rarely have to resort to the generator to run the A/C. Give it a try, you might find that will work for you too.

I only have one roof vent and its in the bathroom but it is upgraded one by the previous owner (Vortex 2). I will give that a try and see if it helps out. I sent a email to Advent and waiting to see if they reply.
