AC clicks all the time

We have a 2005 28' dutchmen lite RV. We purchased used from an individual not knowing much about RV's. So after a lot of remodeling & repairs it's perfect for us. With the exception of the AC click. The unit it dometic duo-therm 13,500 btu. We completely removed the furnace, it doesn't trip any breakers, just makes clicking noise then sounds like it's sluggish. Then it's going again. We have cleaned the coils, squirrel cage, replaced hard start capacitor & running capacitor. Tried changing out thermostat but not sure about the wiring. Any suggestions

Is this click sound a light metallic sound? Does the click happen when the compressor is running sluggish or after? Does the compressor stop completely after the click or start after the click?

You might try a cheap mechanics stethoscope from Harbor Freight to locate the source of the sound.
