So out here camping right now and no hot water. To start the trip they installed the plastic drain in the heater cross threaded.. so started the trip with getting sprayed by high pressure water (before I fired up the heater). Fixed, got to our camping location and now no hot water. The heater runs fine it seems, but at any of the water sources I can only get hot water for a second or so then goes cold.
Am I missing a valve or something somewhere? Its turned on to charge the line, heaters running, where is the hot water?!
Sounds like either the winterizing valves are still in the winter position or the outside shower valves are open. Either one of these will allow cold water to enter the hot water system and cause lack of hot water.

What's that about the outside water system? Im also not getting hot in rhe bathroom... the only valve they showed me was the one to bypass the water heater that is under the bed.
Im hoping this is something the dealer didnt show me and is a simple fix.
Figured it out. Found another valve that is facing the other direction and couldn't see the knob on it. The dealer told me there was one valve under the rear bed, can't believe I found it after tracing the pex tube for an hour.. looked like a normal t without feeling around on it.
Sucks I went all weekend without hot water.. at least the stove worked to heat water for dishes... haha
Thanks for the help Aaron.. saved me a call tomorrow and gave me motivation to go mess with it some more!
I too just got a new rig and I've spent the last 2 weeks in discovery mode. Climbed in, under, around.....everything I could get to. It's slowly starting to make sense.
There's a lot more to all these onboard systems than meets the surface-eye.
Glad everything worked out for ya.

We had the same thing our first time out. Spent hours on the phone with roadside assist and they told me that my unit does not have a bypass and it is definitely my control board for the water heater. 3 1/2 weeks sitting at Camping world they advised it was in bypass (located under the bunk bed). No one ever told us during our orientation. Since there was no mechanical failure, warranty work would not apply to us. Cost me $160.

I was just mad it was on the backside of an elbow where you can't see it haha.
The only other issue I had was the freezer seemed to want to defrost all weekend.. I need to read up on that because my stuff was still frozen but condensation in the freezer all weekend had me worried.

It is an absorption based refrigeration system. I would spend the money on a decent wireless thermometer system so you can monitor the temps without opening the doors. You can also use a wired indoor/outdoor and just lay the sensor inside. In a high humidity condition you may get some extra condensation.
